Why more than one framework?
KVKK is the legal framework that is directly binding on SoftCare Clinic as a company operating in Turkey, and it applies to all of our patients. GDPR and HIPAA are different in nature: GDPR is an EU regulation that may apply to our relationship with patients requesting services from the European Union under certain conditions; HIPAA, on the other hand, is a regulation specific to the United States that does not legally bind SoftCare Clinic, but because it is a trust standard familiar to our American patients, we voluntarily try to reflect its principles in our operations.
This distinction is stated clearly in each document. Our aim is to be transparent about what each framework means for us, and to make sure our patients learn about their own rights from the correct source.

Which of these pages applies to me?
If you are receiving services from Turkey, the Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy apply to you. If you reside in a European Union country, we recommend also reviewing the GDPR Notice, and if you are coming from the United States, the HIPAA Notice. These documents are not mutually exclusive; all of them may apply to you at the same time.
Is SoftCare Clinic 'certified' under GDPR or HIPAA?
No. There is no official certification mechanism for GDPR or HIPAA; these regulations rely on organizations' own declarations and compliance efforts. On the relevant pages, we clearly explain SoftCare Clinic's scope and commitments regarding these frameworks.
I want to exercise my rights, who should I contact?
Our contact information for all requests is provided at the end of each document and on our Contact page. When submitting your request, stating which framework it falls under will help speed up the process.
