Interactive Ultrasound Guide
This page contains an interactive learning animation designed to help you get to know an ultrasound examination in advance. When you move the probe over the 3D figure, the screen next to it shows a representative ultrasound image of that area, along with how long the examination takes and how to prepare.
What the animation shows
- Move the probe to the breast to see a representative breast ultrasound image.
- Move it to the lower abdomen to see the uterus and ovarian area through the abdomen.
- With the “I'm pregnant” button the figure becomes pregnant and the view switches to a pregnancy ultrasound.
This is a learning animation.
The interactive three-dimensional figure has been prepared solely to introduce ultrasound. It is not an ultrasound examination, cannot be regarded as a diagnostic tool and does not replace an examination by a physician.
