Labia Majora Aesthetics (Labiaplasty)
The labia majora and labia minora are often confused with one another.
The labia majora are the outer, larger lips.
This is one of the areas where we most frequently perform gynecological cosmetic surgery.
We generally consider labia majora surgery in two categories.
The first is reducing labia that are very large or noticeably darker in color compared to surrounding tissue.
The second, less common case, involves outer labia that are so small they are barely noticeable.
For both types of concerns, we use the term labia majora plasty or labiaplasty.
Dissatisfaction with the outer labia often becomes a significant concern for women, particularly during summer when wearing swimwear or bikinis.
Swelling in the area, or overly thick contours, has been a source of discomfort for many women.
Labia majora reduction and reshaping procedures are performed at our clinic by Dr. Şükrü Sanus, Surgeon, who is experienced in gynecological cosmetic surgery.
