PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. It can only be produced from each individual's own blood. Since this proven, advanced treatment is derived from the patient's own blood, it could even be described as a biological medicine.

Because the patient's own blood is used, with no other chemicals ever added, and it is produced under sterile, closed conditions, it carries no risk of allergic reaction or disease transmission.

How does PRP work?

The platelets and growth factors in the serum trigger a form of inflammation in the skin — essentially the response living tissue generates to any living or non-living foreign factor or tissue damage — which activates collagen synthesis.

This results in tissue renewal and rejuvenation. It can also be used as a filler material in small tissue areas.

PRP treatment is not the same as stem cell therapy, but it indirectly stimulates stem cells to become active to a certain degree.

The reaction it creates in the tissue draws stem cells to the injected area, initiating a process of tissue renewal and rejuvenation.

Are there any side effects to stem cell fibroblast treatments?

Since the patient's own tissue is used to produce the stem cells (autologous), no allergic reaction occurs.
