Vacuum Aspiration Abortion
Vacuum abortion is a pregnancy termination technique whose use has grown significantly over the last decade.
The vacuum aspiration technique is used not only to terminate pregnancy but also for several other types of curettage procedures.
Compared to the traditional scraping (curette) method, it is performed about 80% faster.

How Vacuum Aspiration Abortion Is Performed
In the scraping method, metal instruments called curettes are used to enter the uterus and scrape the uterine wall, removing the pregnancy.
The vacuum method uses reverse (suction) pressure to draw the tissue out.
With the help of a special cannula, the pregnancy is gently suctioned from the uterus without cutting or piercing.

A manual vacuum syringe can also be used for vacuum aspiration abortion. However, manual vacuum devices take longer than electronic aspiration devices.
We use an electronic vacuum device and system, completing the period during which anesthesia is administered within 2–3 minutes.
For pregnancies averaging 6–7–8 weeks, the procedure performed with the vacuum method takes about 2–3 minutes.
